• Are you wanting just one, or do you wish to go into production?
• Is it a fairly simple concept, or something more serious?
• Does it need to run on batteries?
• Does it hook into a car?
• Does it need to run on AC line power?
  
• Have you thought about the device in detail, or do you have just a general idea what you need?
• Is it mostly electronic in nature, or are you needing mechanical motion of some sort?
• Do you have any sketches or drawings of the concept?
• Is it realistic?
• How much will it cost?
