Does it hook into a car?

The electrical system of a car is very friendly for electronic projects. The 12V DC provided can sometimes be used without further voltage changes inside the device, reducing cost. If this is to be a car-based project, is it one that will mount to the frame and have a single positive wire run to it, or does it need to use a cigarette-lighter style plug?
